hi, so you use 8mm + film body + panohead?

I saw some of your work shot in people-walking-area, I think only few shots (3photos) could snap the moment... this could only be done by 8mm + full frame camera... (else you could not easy freeze the moment) - e.g. the tst habour city christmas, did you use the 8mm+panohead+full frame body?

if you have crop factor body (1.5x) + 10.5mm, you got to shot at least 8photos, right?

Most of time I shooted with 10.5mm.
1. Image for 10.5 seems sharper. This is my personal opinion only... I see many good panoramas on the web with sigma 8mm also.
2. I don’t have a full frame camera so I still need to shoot 6-8 shots with both lenses anyway. I m using d80 now.
3. Sigma len has better coverage than 10.5mm and it can be created a panorama with 4 shots only. But I don't want to take a risk so I will take 6 shots instead of 4 shots when shooting with sigma. Since using both lenses need to take the same amount of images. I would enjoy to use 10.5 more. You will find sufficient overlaps between images when shoot with 6 images.
4. Last but not least, I m a lazy person. I don’t like to change lens very much.

hi,
thanks for your reply.
I have a friend who had dinner with you half year ago (if I didn't remember incorrectly), he told me you also shoot by handheld.
Hope we could 交流one day. I shot all my qtvr by handheld too (indeed, I don't have panohead)

I see. Do you have website or sth to show your works? Yes knowing how to shoot handheld is good as many places don’t allow extending your tripod.

Hi, I started shooting only last year in a trip to Greece.
http://www.eddiemak.com/album/greece_journey
I've published around 40 QTVR that I took in Greece. After the trip, I was so busy about work.... didn't shoot QTVR for long...

you could click
goodies>QTVR
goodies>Planet Travel

But I don't understand how you could shoot night scence QTVR with handheld, the shutter should be very slow, wasn't it? Did you shoot all by handheld?
